CD TYPE
(?, AUDIO, DATA, EXTRA)
Lets you set the CD TYPE that is your default choice
when burning a CD. The default is AUDIO.
?
? prompts you to select what kind of CD you wish to
burn before every burn.
AUDIO
Prepares CDs that can be played on standard CD
players (CDDA). PCM fi les are burned. MP3 fi les are
ignored. CD will play in standard CD players.
DATA
The CD is formatted as ISO 9660. MP3 and PCM
tracks are burned. CD will not play in most CD play-
ers. The CD will play on MP3 compatible CD players
or computers.

You can:
• Press and release the Jog Wheel to review or reset
the CD TYPE.
• Turn the Jog Wheel to tab through the User Setting
choices.
• Press and release the UTILITY MENU button to
return to RECORD SETTING.
• Press and release the Stop button
to exit the Util-
ity Menu.
• Do nothing. After one minute the CDR420 returns
to Idle Mode with your changes, if any, saved.
EXTRA
Burns a multi-session disc. PCM fi les are burned. MP3
fi les are ignored. CD will play in standard CD players.
Text fi les of all the tag information of the selected
tracks are recorded. Your computer can access the tag
information.
