4.10 Checking the robot
To ensure the robot is ready for use, check the following:
l
Check the robot for any visual defects, such as dents, scratches, or cracked parts.
l
Test the Emergency stop button on the robot. Make sure the robot enters Emergency stop
when the button is pressed, and that it can be brought out of Emergency stop by releasing the
button and pressing the Reset button—see "Safety-related functions" on page110.
l
Check that the robot can drive straight and responds correctly when driving in Manual mode—
see "Operating the robot" on page86.
l
Check that you can charge the robot using the charging stations or charging cables that are
intended for MiR250 Hook.
l
Check the battery percentage and charge the robot if the battery percentage is low. Even if you
do not intend to use the robot immediately, you should keep the battery charged to ensure
that it is not damaged or permanently shutdown from being undercharged—see "Storage" on
page76.
