3. PRELIMINARY GENERAL AND SAFETY INFORMATION
3.1. REFERENCE DIRECTIVES
The following directives were taken as reference during the design, construction and installation of the machine:

3.2. SAFETY-RELATED TERMS
The areas around the machine are subdivided as follows:
TERM DEFINITION
WORK AREA
These are the areas where the operators can stand during start-up and regular operation of the
machine. Moreover, the operators can intervene from these areas in case of need or emergency,
always complying with the limits of the assigned tasks and of the operating procedures.
DANGEROUS AREA
All areas inside the machine and within its range of action are considered dangerous areas. Access
to this area is prohibited to anyone while the machine is working.
CONTROL AREA
These are the areas where operators can carry out command and control operations of the machine
functions.
ATTENTION!
While the machine is working, it is absolutely prohibited to operate in the dangerous areas, even if
the risks have been eliminated or reduced by the protections adopted.
