8.3.2.2.1. CHECKING THE SIDE SLIDING BLOCKS
With the machine stabilized and the basket empty, lift the boom from its support by at least 10 cm and extend it by about half
a metre. From the ground, grab the basket and apply an alternate lateral force. During this action, look at the play between
the various extensions of the boom. There must be some play, but limited between 3 and 7 mm.
Moreover, visually inspect the sliding block insofar as it is possible. In case of doubt, contact the Assistance department.
8.3.2.2.2. CHECKING THE SUPPORTING SLIDING BLOCKS
For each telescopic element, you need to verify the presence of all the fixing screws of the sliding blocks located near the
heads and at the end of the boom. Moreover, the sliding blocks must be intact, in other words with no cracks or excessive
wear. To identify the position of the sliding blocks, please refer to the enclosed spare parts catalogue.
8.3.2.2.3. 230V SOCKET (OPTIONAL)
If present, check the operation of the 230V socket by connecting the socket located on the carriage to a known source.
After operating the switch, verify the presence of voltage at the socket located in the basket by means of a tester or a work
tool.
8.3.2.2.4. EMERGENCY LOWERING
Test the hand pump and the emergency lowering by carrying out the procedure described in the special paragraph in chapter
“CONTROLS AND MACHINE USE”.
8.3.2.2.5. ELECTRIC PUMP OR ELECTRIC MOTOR (OPTIONAL)
If present, test the electric pump in the following way:
STEP ACTION
1
Turn off the truck engine.
2
Connect and power the socket of the electric pump.
3
Start the electric pump and try to carry out a few movements; they must be regular.
8.3.2.2.6. EMERGENCY PUSHBUTTON OPERATION
Press the emergency pushbutton located on the ground controls; the carriage engine must be turned off. Try to carry out the
movements; the platform must not move at all.
8.3.2.2.7. CHECKING THE SEALS
Check the seals on the valves, sensors and protection/closing guard of the control/limitation instrumentation. To locate the
sealed components, refer to the specific annex in the ‘’Annexes’’ section.
8.3.2.3. CHECKING THE BASKET
8.3.2.3.1. VERIFYING THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE MOVEMENTS
With the platform stabilized and enabling the commands from the basket, try to carry out the single movements.
The resulting action must be consistent with the command carried out.
