8.4. EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION!
All extraordinary maintenance and repairs of the machine are reserved to specialized technicians,
duly trained and authorized, to Manufacturer's employees or to an authorized assistance centre.
These jobs require in-depth and specialized knowledge of the machine, of the necessary operations,
of the associated risks and of the proper procedures in order to operate under safe conditions.
Any jobs not included among those listed in the section “routine maintenance” should be considered extraordinary
maintenance.
Should exceptional events take place requiring extraordinary maintenance, the user’s ordinary maintenance personnel have
to follow these procedures:
verify the conditions of the damaged or malfunctioning components;
send to the Manufacturer a report of the events that took place, the result of the inspection and any observations.
The Manufacturer or the authorized assistance centre will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis. Then they will
agree with the ordinary maintenance workers upon the type of job to be carried out, choosing the most fitting solution from
among the ones listed below:
the Manufacturer sends an authorized technician, trained and qualified to carry out the necessary jobs;
or the Manufacturer authorizes and trains the user’s ordinary maintenance personnel with regards to the the jobs to be
carried out.
IMPORTANT!
When carrying out maintenance operations, always wear the personal protection equipment
indicated in this manual.
ATTENTION!
Extraordinary maintenance operations are complex in nature, and their improper execution may
cause serious risks to the safety of the platform. This is why they cannot be described in this
manual.
