Use and warning instructions in compliance with EC regulations - Page 60
♦ Comply with the intervals indicated in the manual for scheduled maintenance (preventive and periodical). The distance
(indicated in terms of time or work cycles) between one maintenance job and the next is to be understood as the
maximum acceptable one, hence it must not be exceeded; it can be shortened instead.
♦ Proper preventive maintenance requires constant attention and continuous surveillance of the machine. Promptly check
the cause of any anomalies such as excessive noise, overheating, leaking fluids, etc., and remedy any such anomalies.
♦ The timely removal of any causes of anomaly or malfunction prevents additional damages to the equipment and
guarantees the safety of operators.
ATTENTION!
In case of doubt, it is forbidden to operate the machine. Contact the manufacturer to obtain the
necessary explanations.
For maintenance purposes, always refer to the enclose documents as well, such as:
♦ functional diagrams of the systems and equipment enclosed with the manual;
♦ bills of components with the information needed to order the spare parts;
♦ list of possible cases of malfunction and of the recommended solutions.
From the operational standpoint, the operations are subdivided into two categories for the maintenance worker:
♦ routine maintenance;
♦ extraordinary maintenance.
8.3. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
In order to ensure proper machine operation, periodical and preventive checks and maintenance must be carried out by
following the tables and complying with the indicated maintenance intervals.
IMPORTANT!
Failure to comply with the above relieves the manufacturer from any and all responsibility for
purposes of the warranty.
Scheduled routine maintenance includes inspections, checks and operations that, for the purpose of preventing downtimes
and failures, systematically control:
♦ the mechanical conditions of the machines, in particular of the drives;
♦ the lubrication conditions of the machine;
♦ the cleanliness of the machine and its components.
The indicated intervals refer to normal operating conditions, in other words in compliance with the contractually defined and
foreseen conditions of use.
ATTENTION!
The daily checks and inspections:
♦ have to be carried out by the operator prior to each positioning of the platform;
♦ are not recorded in the checks logbook since they are carried out every time the machine is
used.
Are all checks the negative outcome of which precludes the possibility of using the machine under
safe conditions; in these cases, extraordinary maintenance needs to be carried out in order to be
able to use the platform.
