3.15. SAFETY DEVICES
The machine was designed and equipped with safety systems in order to minimize risks to the operator.
ATTENTION!
Do not tamper for any reason with the safety devices and the protection casings.
IMPORTANT!
Prior to using the machine, make sure that the safety devices are installed and efficient; otherwise,
notify the person in charge of maintenance.
Below is a list of safety devices adopted by the MULTITEL PAGLIERO S.p.A. :

EMERGENCY STOP
PUSHBUTTONS
If pressed in case of an emergency, they stop all platform functions. They are found on each
control panel.
BOOM RANGE OF ACTION
LIMITING DEVICE
Device the limits the range of action in order to ensure proper stability under all operational
conditions with automatic operation.
INCLINOMETER OPTIONAL - Positioned on the carriage. Its operation is automatic.
HARNESS COUPLINGS Positioned inside the basket, they are used to safely secure the operator's harness.
SAFETY MICRO: Electromechanical device that carries out safety functions.
3.16. JOBS CARRIED OUT IN THE VICINITY OF LIVE POWER LINES
DANGER!
If the basket, boom or other parts of the structure come in contact with conductors that are not
insulated, serious harm may occur to people.
When working in the vicinity of live conductors, keep at a safe distance and comply with the specific procedures agreed upon
with the safety managers; comply with the minimum safety distances as per the following table:

Before starting work near electrical lines, always make sure that the line staff have been notified and do not unexpectedly
turn the power on.
ATTENTION!
In any case, set up barriers or shields to avoid physical contact or electrical arcs.
