TERM DEFINITION
HAND PUMP Device for the manual supply of the hydraulic circuit.
BASKET CONTROL STATION
A control panel is located in the chest that can be used to move the platform- This is the
main control station.
CONTROL STATION FROM THE
BASE
There is a control panel on the carriage that can be used to move the platform while staying
at ground level. It can be activated instead of the basket control panel.
POWER TAKE-OFF
Device that takes power from the carriage engine and delivers it to the hydraulic circuit
supply pump.
SLEWING PIN Bearing that allows the extendible structure to rotate with respect to the counter-frame.
REDUCER
Mechanical device operated by a hydraulic motor that generates a force around an axis. It
can be used to activate rotations between the platform components.
RISK
Combination of the probability and gravity of an injury or damage to a person's health that
may arise during a dangerous situation.
RESIDUAL RISK
Risk that could not be eliminated or reduced during the design phase, against which the
protections are not effective (either in part or in full).
The manual (section 3) indicates the residual risks and the information, instructions,
warnings/prescriptions for managing Residual risk for which the user is responsible (Ref.
UNI EN ISO 12100:2010).
LEFT HAND SIDE
Convention; the left hand side means the left side of the carriage as seen from the driver's
seat of the truck.
PTO LIGHT Light located in the vehicle cab that indicates when the PTO is engaged
OUTRIGGERS Jack-operated devices that allow the carriage to be levelled by lifting it off the ground.
AUTOMATIC Manoeuvring procedure of the outriggers aimed at proper carriage levelling.
EXTENDIBLE STRUCTURE Set of arms and articulations and basket that make up the moving pat of the platform.
SKILLED TECHNICIAN Technician trained to carry out routine and extraordinary maintenance on the platform.
IMPROPER USE Using the machine in a way other than the one indicated in the use instructions
DANGEROUS AREA
Area concerned by the machine operations within which there is a risk for people to suffer
injuries, including fatal ones, or damage to their health.
2.10. UPDATE PROCEDURE
In the even it becomes necessary to make changes to the content of the manual, the company MULTITEL PAGLIERO S.p.A.
will send to the Customer a copy of the changed paragraphs and a new cover indicating the new release, which must be
replaced in the supplied manual.
In the event that the machine in question undergoes such changes as to make the Manufacturer consider it necessary to
update the technical documentation, the Manufacturer will arrange for notifying the Customer with regards to the change in
the documentation and for sending an updated copy of the sections concerned by said changes. The Customer is responsible
for destroying the obsolete sections.
