STEP ACTION
2
Completely retract the two telescopic booms: align the basket with the vehicle axis, gently lower the JIB boom
into the support only after having completely lowered the main boom.
3
Do not apply excessive pressure on the sides of the support.
4
Make sure the boom is resting firmly on the support and that the electric limit switch is pressed all the way
down.
7.3.3. EXTENSION LIMITING DEVICE
An extension limiting device has been installed to prevent the platform from tipping over.
Red indicator located on the controls from the cage and on the controls from the base (section
“CONTROLS’)
Upon reaching the maximum allowed extension, this device:
1. turns on the red light to warn the operator that the limit condition has been reached;
2. stops the aggravating movements:
- raising of the main boom
- lowering of the jib boom
- exit of the telescopic jib boom
continuing to signal the limit condition until the extension is not reduced.
Operation of the limiting device is completely automatic.
To evaluate the work areas that can be reached and the activation of the limiting device, please refer to the diagrams
illustrating the work area of the machine in the specific annex found in the “ANNEXES” section.
ATTENTION!
It is absolutely forbidden to add loads if the limiting device red light is turned on! This light means
that the maximum extension condition has been reached for the load in the basket, and increasing
this load may cause the platform to tip over!
DANGER!
In case of doubt concerning the operation of the limiting device, stop using the machine immedi-
ately and contact the assistance department!
To check for proper operation of the limiting device, proceed as described below:
STEP CTION
1
Perform the following operations on open ground, with no one inside the basket.
2
Load the basket with rated carrying capacity indicated on the manufacturer's plate (or any one of the carrying
capacities listed on the plate if multiple capacities are listed), being careful to firmly strap down the load so
that it does not fall out of the basket.
3
Move the jib boom at a 8° angle with respect to the horizontal axis.
4
Fully raise the main boom until the starting point of the telescopic function, then stop immediately.
5
Establish beforehand the stop point of the boom, and do not continue in case of doubts concerning the operation
but instead close the machine and request the assistance of a skilled technician.
