5. TRANSPORT AND HANDLING
5.1. TRANSPORT OPERATIONS
The platform MULTITEL PAGLIERO S.p.A. moves using the carriage on which it is installed. The carriage is a vehicle that
has been regularly approved The owner/user is responsible for fulfilling all obligations regarding insurance, etc.
DANGER!
Prior to transporting it, make sure that the platform is completely closed in its idle position (with
special attend to the outriggers), in order to prevent any collisions against means or property that
may damage the platform itself or cause damages to third parties.
DANGER!
Drive safely according to the Traffic Regulations in force and observe all traffic signs and comply
with the limits in terms of mass and size.
5.2. LOADING/UNLOADING
If necessary, the machine loading/unloading operations must be entrusted to personnel who:
♦ are expert in this type of operation;
♦ are fully familiar with the machine, its components and the operating and maintenance manual.
The machine must be transported on trailers qualified to transport construction site equipment, with low loader decks.
Prior to loading the machine, make sure that:
♦ the platform is completely lowered in its idle position;
♦ the outriggers are fully retracted and blocked.
ATTENTION!
Perform the loading and unloading operations with extreme care:
♦ make sure that no one is standing inside the manoeuvring area;
♦ mark off the area;
♦ check the fitness and intactness of the available equipment.
DANGER!
Make sure the area where you are working is clear of any obstacles and that there is a space
sufficiently free and safe ("escape space") where you can move to in case you need to do so
(tipping over of the machine, for example).
