3.5. PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Workers are required to wear work clothing (with tight-fitting sleeves) and personal protection equipment (gloves, goggles,
face masks, etc.) in compliance with the laws and safety standards in force in the country where the machine is used.
The signs provided below represent the personal protection equipment.
SYMBOL REQUIREMENT
Use safety gloves.
Use safety shoes.
Use noise protection devices.
Use a helmet.
Use safety goggles.
3.6. NOISE LEVEL
The guaranteed sound power level is indicated on the platform turret and inside the TDE attached to this manual.
The noise level to which workers are exposed during platform operation is different from the measured one since noise is
affected by certain factors, such as:
♦ type and characteristics of the site (workplace)
♦ duration of the exposure;
♦ other machines operating nearby;
The user is specifically responsible for applying the consequent preventive and protective measures, in compliance with the
laws in force in the country where the machine is installed and used.
DANGER!
It is advisable to carefully analyse the installation procedure in order to evaluate the need for
personal protection equipment against noise (earmuffs or ear plugs) for operators working near
the machine.
