3.9.3. WARNINGS FOR SANDING OPERATIONS AND RENOVATIONS.
ATTENTION!
Make sure that any debris, sand, paint or any other material have not deposited on the machine
structure as this would cause serious problems in terms of smoothness and wear.
ATTENTION!
The approach manoeuvre at a height to works of art or artefacts in general must always be carried
out at the minimum speed and, where possible, with careful extension and retraction movements.
3.10. OBLIGATIONS
Make sure that only duly trained personnel operate on the machine.
♦ Do not use the machine in an improper manner, in other words for uses other than the ones indicated in the paragraphs
“INTENDED USE”.
♦ Always carry out any maintenance jobs with the machine turned off. Do not lubricate parts while they are moving.
♦ When the machine is working, do not operate nearby wearing chains, bracelets, ties or other items of clothing that may
get entangled in the mechanisms. If you have long hair, make sure it is tied back.
♦ Always carry out jobs on the electrical panel, on the shunt boxes, on the cables and on all components of the electrical
system with the main switch in the OFF position.
♦ When the machine is started, make sure no one is standing in the dangerous areas.
ATTENTION!
All workers must consider the health and safety of themselves and of other people at the workplace
who may suffer the consequences of their actions or omissions. They must act in accordance with
their training, observing the instructions and using the equipment provided by the employer.
In particular, all employees have to:
♦ make sure they are perfectly familiar with the position and function of all controls;
♦ refrain from operating the machine or have it operated by people who have not read and understood the contents of this
manual, as well as by unskilled operators or operators who are not in good psychological and/or physical conditions and
without a suitable driver’s license;
♦ use the personal protection equipment provided to them in an appropriate manner;
♦ use, on the basket, the harness with positioning rope;
♦ wear the necessary protection devices according to the regulations in force
♦ avoid wearing scarves or other items of clothing that may become trapped and dragged in the movable parts of the
machine;
♦ make sure there is no one or no equipment inside the basket prior to moving the carriage;
♦ do not touch the moving parts in any way;
♦ keep the bottom of the basket and your shoes clean of grease or other products that may make them slippery;
♦ make sure that, in case you are working in presence of other aerial arms, these do not represent an obstacle for the safe
performance of the job;
♦ make sure, if necessary using wedges or clamps, that the platform cannot slip once it has been stabilized; Prior to
proceeding to the stabilization, carefully consider the slope and characteristics of the surface on which the machine will
be stabilized.
♦ remove the keys from the control panels in order to prevent any unauthorized uses;
♦ keep the writings affixed to the machine clean and fully legible, and replace any lost or illegible ones;
