4.7 Setting the Contact Check
4-28 ZM2371/ZM2372
Restrictions for 4-terminal contact check
When measuring the resistance or inductor
If the DC resistance of DUT is low, it is afrade that the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal
can not be detected.
When measuring the DUT of 250Ω or less in DC resistance, set the “Real time check” to
enabled (initial value) so as to detect the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal.
When measuring the capacitance
If the capacitance of DUT is large, it is afrade that the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal
can not be detected.
When measuring the DUT of 1F or more in capacitance, set the “Real time check” to
enabled (initial value) so as to detect the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal.
However, even the real time check does not enable the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal to
be detected in case of measurement frequency < 0.1Hz.(It is possible to detect in case of
approx 100or less in impedance)
If the insulation resistance is extremely low, it is afraid that the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal can not be detected.
When measuring the DUT of 250Ω or less in insulation resistance, set theReal time
check” to enabled so as to detect the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal.
In case that the leak current is large when DC bias voltage is applied, it is afrade that the
contact failure of H
CUR
terminal can not be detected. If the leak current exceeds 15μA, set
theReal time check” to enabled so as to detect the contact failure of H
CUR
terminal.
The contact check does not run normally during charge-/discharging of DUT by the DC
bias. You should trigger only after the bias voltage is stabilized after finishing
charge-/discharging.
