CHAPTER 1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1 DESCRIPTION
AUGUST 31, 2008
LPG Tank
The capacity of each fuel tank is 33.5 pounds (15.2 Kg) of liquid fuel. Working
pressure ranges between 25-240 PSI, depending upon temperature.
Vent Valve
The vent valve should be used only when lling or cleaning the inside of the
tank. It is opened manually.
Safety Relief Valve
The safety relief valve opens automatically when tank pressure rises above
275 PSI, and closes when excess pressure is reduced.
Fuel Gauge
The fuel gauge is a oat level type that indicates percentage of fuel remaining
in the tank.
Shut-O Valve
The shut-o󰀨 valve is operated manually to control fuel ow from tank. The
valve opens counterclockwise and closes clockwise.
Threaded into the base of the valve is a maximum withdrawal valve that
closes automatically when a surge of fuel, such as that caused by a bursting
hose, exceeds engine demand by 10%.
At the end of each day’s operation, close the shut-o󰀨 valve.
NOTICE! Close the shut-o󰀨 valve no more than hand tight to avoid crushing
the valve seat.
Disconnect Coupling
A disconnect coupling is attached to the shut-o󰀨 valve. It requires no tools to
operate. When disconnecting, it automatically seals o󰀨 any ow through the
valve and hose.
For greatest safety, however, disconnect coupling by following these steps:
1. Close shut-o󰀨 valve.
2. Run engine until it stops.
3. Turn o󰀨 ignition switch.
4. Disconnect coupling.
