Safety Guidelines
Thefollowinggeneralguidelines,togetherwiththeinstructionsprovided
throughoutthisuserguide,ensureusersafetywhileoperatingand
maintainingtheEdensystem.Ifthesystemisnotoperatedasspecified,the
userʹssafetymaybecompromised.

¾ InstallationandremovaloftheEdenprintershouldonlybedoneby
qualifiedservicepersonnel.
¾ TheEdenprintershouldonlybeoperatedbypersonstrainedbyan
Objetcustomer‐supportrepresentative.
¾ Serviceoperationsshouldbeperformedonlybypersonnelwhohave
beeninstructedinrelevantsafetyprecautions.
¾ AllpersonneloperatingormaintainingtheEdenprintershouldknow
thelocationoffirstaidandemergencyequipmentandhowtouseit.
Neverblockaccesstothisequipment.
¾ Neverattempttoopenthemaincoveroftheprinterwhileitisworking.
¾ Neverbypasstheinterlocksafetyswitch.
¾ Iftheinterlocksafetyswitcheverfails,orifservicingisevernecessary
whilethemaincoverisopen,neverstaredirectlyattheUVlamps
withoutglassesthatscreenoutUVradiation.Forthispurpose,
ordinarysunglasseswithUVscreeningareadequate.
¾ Neverconnectthepowerplugtoasocketthatdoesnothaveaground
(earth)wire,andneverdisconnecttheground.Doingsomayexpose
theoperatortoseriousdangerfromelectricshock.
¾ Thepowercableshouldbeconnectedataneasilyaccessibleelectric
socketneartheprinter.
¾ Neverinsertscrewdrivers,wires,orotherobjectsintothepowersupply
housing.
¾ Leaveaminimumof15centimetersbetweenventilationopeningsand
wallsorotherobjects.
¾ Severalpartsoftheprinterremainextremelyhotevenafterithas
stoppedoperating.Avoidtouchingthemainpowersupply,theUV‐
lamppowersupply,UVlamps,andtheprintheads.
¾ Notifyco‐workersandthosewhohaveaccesstotheEdensystembefore
beginningnon‐routineandhazardouswork.
¾ Reportanypotentialdangersandsafety‐relatedaccidentstoyour
safetyofficerortootherappropriateauthorities.
