Cleaning the
Print Heads
Periodicinspectionandcleaningoftheorificeplatesonthebottomofthe
printblockensuresthattheprintnozzlesarenotblocked.Awizardguides
youthroughtheprocedure,andadjustscomponentsoftheEdenprinterto
enableyoutoperformit. Thisproceduretakesabout20minutes,and
should
bedoneatthebeginningoftheworkdayorbeforeabigprinting
job.
To clean the print heads:
1. Prepare—
• isopropanol(IPA—isopropylalcohol)orethanol(ethylalcohol)
• disposablecleaninggloves
• anObjet‐suppliedcleaningclothorequivalent
• amirror
2. StarttheHeadsCleaningwizard,eitherfromtheWizardstab(onthe
rightsideoftheprinterinterface)orfromtheOptionsmenu(see
figure 7‐25onpage 21).
