Chapter 6 Measurement procedures

This type of measurement automatically detects and displays the material lost
region between two specified points, and measurements the width, depth and
area.
1 Specify reference points by placing the cursor on each extremity of
the measurement object and pressing the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick
to measure.
Display the boundary line around the detected material loss region, width, depth, and area
on both sides of the top of the screen.
CAUTION
• Material loss may not be detectable if the loss edges are not clearly shown.
• The shape of the material loss must be such that it is on the same plane. Material loss may
not be detectable if it is not on the same plane.
