6.2 Using reference length to measure object
length (scaler measurement)
Scaler measurement is done by using an object in the observation screen that
has a known length as a reference length and then using that value to measure
the length of the object.
CAUTION
• If the reference length is not correct, high accuracy cannot be achieved. Also, do a
preliminary measurement to assure that the object that will be the reference and the object
that will be measured are positioned with the same optical axis and perpendicularity.
Attaching the optical adapter
1 Attach an optical adapter other than a stereo optical adapter
according to "Attaching and detaching the optical adapter" (page
33).
2 Change the settings for the optical adapter that is attached
according to "Changing the selection of the optical adapter" (page
89).
