Chapter 5 Menu operations and functions
Inputting the note
You can record still images with category and contents data displayed in the list
as notes.
NOTE
• You can enter a maximum of 10 contents for each category for a total of 10 categories
maximum.
• You can input 12 characters for categories and 28 characters for contents.
• The contents of notes recorded together with images can be checked by retrieving the image
and selecting “ALL” in the “D/T/LOGO” menu.
Displaying the note edit window
1 Insert a recording card (CF card) specified by OLYMPUS into the
RECORDING CARD slot on the instrument.
2 Press the [NOTE] button on the right side of the LCD monitor.
The note edit window appears.
The category and the content selected in the category are displayed according to
the ADD_DATA.TXT file recorded to the recording card.
NOTE
• You can open the note edit window by selecting “RECORD” - “NOTE N+” from the main
menu and pressing the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.
• If a recording card is not inserted or if the ADD_DATA.TXT file does not exist on the
recording card, the list is blank.
• See “Editing the ADD DATA.TXT file using a computer” (page 88) for information about
creating ADD_DATA.TXT files.
• When “Delete all” is selected and the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick is pressed, the delete window
appears. To delete all of the input categories and their contents, select “OK” in the delete
window and press the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.
