A.5.1 E/D Module Process Inputs
To configure the E/D module Process Inputs, set the jumpers according to these instructions.
Configure Inputs 1 and 2 for one of three analog signal types:
• For 1-5 VDC Input, remove both RTD and 4-20 jumpers.
• For 4-20 mA Input, install the 4-20 jumper.
• For RTD Input, install the RTD jumper.
Configure Inputs 3 and 4 for pulse input type:
• Signal coupling is instrument dependent:
− For AC coupled, install the two AC jumpers.
− For DC coupled, install the DC jumper.
• Signal threshold is instrument dependent:
− For a 1.5v threshold, remove the HI jumper.
− For a 3.5v threshold, install the HI jumper.
Refer to Figure A-6 for default input jumper settings: Inputs Ch1 = 4-20mA, Ch2 = 4-20mA,
Ch3 = AC coupled Pulse, Low threshold, and Ch4 = AC coupled Pulse, Low threshold.
