·Suppression of Short-cycle Vibration
Vibrationwith a wavelengthalmost as long as the differential time results from exces-
sive derivative (D) control. The vibration can be suppressed by setting the derivative
(D) time to a smaller value.
If the vibration cannot be suppressed after the differential time is set to 0.00, set the
proportional gain to a smaller value or the PID primary delay time constant to a larger
value.
