Chapter 3 - How to...
Browser-based review clients have to be on the same network as the scan head and the image server. Usually,
browser-based review clients have been logged off at the end of each day. To login to a browser-based review
client:
1.
Press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del] to display the Unlock Computer dialog box.
2.
Type your username and password. Select OK.
3.
Connect to the OptosAdvance URL from your browser.
4.
Enter your username and password when prompted. Usernames and passwords are assigned by your
System Administrator, see Managing user details on page53 (all passwords are case sensitive).
3.1.2 Use standby mode at the end of each day
The scan head MUST be put into standby mode at the end of each working day.
Note
l You should follow the correct procedure in order to protect the integrity of the information on the disk
drives.
l You should back-up your image server data at least once a week.
You MUST put the scan head into standby mode at the end of each working day.
1.
End the current session and select on the touch screen to put the device into standby mode.
2.
The status indicator will turn blue when the device is in standby mode. The touch screen will switch
OFF when the device is in standby mode.
3.
Place the fabric cover over the scan head after the scan head is in standby mode.
3.1.2.1 Shut down the scan head
You should NOT usually have to shut down the scan head.
1. Follow the instructions to put the scan head into standby mode, see Use standby mode at the end of
each day above.
2.
When the status indicator has turned blue you can turn OFF the power supply. The power switch is
located at the at the back of the scan head. The OFF position is marked " ".
3.1.2.2 Log off the image server each day
You should log off the image server at the end of each day.
1.
Exit OptosAdvance.
2.
Select the "Windows" button.
3.
Select Log off.
Note
l Image files cannot be viewed on browser-based review clients when the image server has been shut
down.
l
Restart the image server each week to allow updates to install, see Restart the image server each
week below.
3.1.2.3 Restart the image server each week
CAUTION
Exit OptosAdvance before turning OFF the image server.
You should restart the image server each week to allow updates to install.
