When recording in low light conditions, pressing
the shutter button halfway lights the AF assist
lamp, making it easier for the camera to focus.
0 The effective range of the AF assist lamp is
different depending on the lens used.
– When the interchangeable lens (S-R24105) is
attached and at Wide:
Approx. 1.0 m (3.3 feet) to 3.0 m (9.8 feet)
0 Remove the lens hood.
0 The AF assist lamp gets slightly blocked when
the interchangeable lens (S-R24105) is used,
but it does not affect the performance.
0 The AF assist lamp may be greatly blocked, and
it may become harder to focus when a lens with
large diameter is used.
0 When [Silent Mode] is being used, [AF Assist
Light] is fixed to [OFF].
