NOTE:
If this check box is not enabled before connection to Facility
Net, the Lasair II particle counter will be configured within Facility Net
as a regular on-line sensor.

If you want to automatically delete the data in the particle counter after it has
been copied to Facility Net, select Auto-delete in Facility Net.
NOTE:
If you prefer to manually delete the data from the Lasair II
particle counter, use the manual delete button in Facility Net’s
Runtime dialog box. Use of this button is controlled by normal
security features. Or, use the delete button on the Lasair II particle
counter’s Main Setup Screen.

Connect the particle counter to the Facility Net system.
9 In Facility Net, enter an “All” particle sample point and an associated “Text”
sample point.
The “All” analog entries are optional. The driver will auto-configure these
locations and download data from the Lasair II particle counter to Facility Net.
When download is complete, Facility Net communications with particle counter
will be automatically disabled.
Connecting to a Computer
To connect the Lasair II particle counter to a dedicated or networked computer,
please see Appendix A and perform all required actions for each of the following
areas:
• Meeting computer hardware and software requirements
• Connecting the unit through Ethernet to the computer or the network
• Setting Network addresses
• Assigning an address to the computer’s TCP/IP connection
• Determining the address of the Lasair II particle counter
Using the Facility Net (
On-line Method
)
The differences between controlling the Lasair II directly and controlling it
indirectly (remotely) are the following:
• Direct control always takes precedence over indirect control. Facility Net will
not gain control of the Lasair II particle counter if someone is already using it.
