Statistics mode disable-enable. Select O to disable the statistics
mode. Select ❙ to enable the statistics mode. Once the statistics mode is enabled, it
will be maintained throughout power cycles until it is disabled in the Statistics
Setup or Statistics Results screen. Also, once the statistics mode is enabled, most
parameters are locked out.
This button saves the Statistics Setup as a recipe. See Chapter 9, "Recipes".
Statistics Mode Operation
Once you have set up the Lasair II particle counter for sampling, operation is a
simple matter. Use the following steps to operate the particle counter.
Collecting Sample Data
To collect sample data:
1 After setting the variables for the statistics function and enabling the statistics
mode, take the Lasair II particle counter to the first sampling location.
2 If you are using wall power, plug in the unit.
3 If the particle counter is already plugged in, but the display is blank, press the
ON/OFF button in the lower right of the control panel. You will hear a beep
during the startup process.
4 When the Main Display is visible, ensure that the particle counter is in statistics
mode. The statistics mode icon will be visible on the main display.
