How to add antifreeze to the
raw water system for engine
preservation purposes
Before antifreeze is added to the raw
water system the system should be
ushed out with fresh water. To do this,
operate the engine for one to two minutes
with the seacock closed and with a supply
of fresh water through the open top of the
raw water strainer.
1. Obtain two empty, clean containers
each with a capacity of approximately 9,0
litres (2 UK gallons) 9.6 US quarts. Also
obtain 4,5 litre (1 UK gallon) 5 US quarts
of POWERPART antifreeze.
2. Remove the hose from the raw water
connection on the exhaust elbow and
put the end of the hose into one of the
containers.
3. Remove the cover from the top of the
raw water strainer, and with the seacock
closed, add some antifreeze through the
open top of the raw water strainer. Start
the engine and run the engine at idle
speed, then continue to add the remainder
of the antifreeze through the open top of
the strainer.
4. Operate the engine for several
minutes. During this period, change the
containers around, pour the antifreeze/
water solution from the container at the
outlet (hose end) into the strainer.
5. When the antifreeze is mixed
thoroughly and has been circulated
through the raw water system, stop
the engine. Fit the top of the raw water
strainer.
6. Connect the hose to the raw water
connection on the exhaust elbow.
Toevoegen van antivries aan
het buitenboordwatersysteem
voor het behoud van de motor
Voordat antivries wordt toegevoegd aan
het buitenboordwatersysteem, moet het
systeem worden gespoeld met schoon
water. Laat hiertoe de motor één tot twee
minuten draaien met de buitenboordkraan
gesloten en laat een hoeveelheid schoon
water door de open bovenkant van de
buitenboordwaterzeef lopen.
1. Neem twee lege en schone blikken
met een inhoud van ca. 9 liter. Neem ook
4,5 liter POWERPART antivries.
2. Maak de slang los van de aansluiting
op de uitlaatbocht en sluit de slang aan op
één van de blikken.
3. Verwijder de afdekking bovenop
de buitenboordwaterzeef. Sluit de
buitenboordwaterkraan en giet wat
antivries door de open bovenzijde van
de buitenboordwaterzeef. Start de motor
en laat deze stationair lopen. Giet dan
de overgebleven antivries door de open
bovenkant van de zeef.
4. Laat de motor enkele minuten draaien.
Verwissel ondertussen de blikken en giet
het antivries/watermengsel vanuit het blik
bij de uitlaat (uiteinde van de slang) in de
zeef.
5. Wanneer de antivries
goed is vermengd en door het
buitenboordwatersysteem heeft
gecirculeerd, moet de motor worden
afgezet. Breng het deksel van de
buitenboordwaterzeef aan.
6. Sluit de slang aan op het
buitenboordwatersysteem op de
uitlaatbocht..

1. Ðñïìçèåõôåßôå äýï Üäåéá êáèáñÜ
äï÷åßá ÷ùñçôéêüôçôáò 9,0 ëßôñùí ó÷åäüí
ôï êáèÝíá. Ðñïìçèåõôåßôå åðßóçò 4,5 ëßôñá
áíôéðçêôéêïý POWERPART.
2. ÁöáéñÝóôå ôïí åýêáìðôï óùëÞíá áðü
ôç óýíäåóç áêÜèáñôïõ íåñïý óôç ãùíßá
ôïõ óùëÞíá ôçò åîÜôìéóçò êáé âÜëôå ôï
Üêñï ôïõ åýêáìðôïõ óùëÞíá ìÝóá ó’ Ýíá
áðü ôá äï÷åßá.
3. ÁöáéñÝóôå ôï êÜëõììá áðü ôçí
êïñõöÞ ôïõ ôñõðçôïý ãéá ôï óýóôçìá
áêÜèáñôïõ íåñïý êáé, ìå ôïí êñïõíü
èáëÜóóçò êëåéóôü, ðñïóèÝóôå ìåñéêü
áíôéðçêôéêü ìÝóá áðü ôï áíïé÷ôü Üíù
Üêñï ôïõ ôñõðçôïý ãéá ôï áêÜèáñôï íåñü.
ÂÜëôå ìðñïò ôïí êéíçôÞñá, áöÞóôå ôïí
íá ëåéôïõñãÞóåé óôï ñåëáíôß êáé ìåôÜ
óõíå÷ßóôå íá ðñïóèÝôåôå ôï õðüëïéðï ôïõ
áíôéðçêôéêïý ìÝóá áðü ôï áíïé÷ôü Üíù
Üêñï ôïõ ôñõðçôïý.
4. ÁöÞóôå ôïí êéíçôÞñá íá ëåéôïõñãÞóåé
ãéá áñêåôÜ ëåðôÜ. ÊáôÜ ôç äéÜñêåéá áõôÞò
ôçò ðåñéüäïõ, áëëÜîôå ôá äï÷åßá êáé ñßîôå
ôï äéÜëõìá áíôéðçêôéêïý/íåñïý áðü ôï
äï÷åßï óôï óôüìéï åîüäïõ (Üêñï åýêáìðôïõ
óùëÞíá) ìÝóá óôï ôñõðçôü.
5. ¼ôáí ôï áíôéðçêôéêü áíáìåé÷èåß
ðëÞñùò êáé Ý÷åé êõêëïöïñÞóåé ìÝóá óôï
óýóôçìá áêÜèáñôïõ íåñïý, óâÞóôå ôïí
êéíçôÞñá. ÔïðïèåôÞóôå ôï Üíù Üêñï ôïõ
ôñõðçôïý ãéá ôï áêÜèáñôï íåñü.
6. ÓõíäÝóôå ôïí åýêáìðôï óùëÞíá óôç
óýíäåóç ôïõ áêÜèáñôïõ íåñïý óôç ãùíßá
ôïõ óùëÞíá ôçò åîÜôìéóçò.
