3. Install spindle nut and tighten to specification.
2x4SpindleNutTorque: 40ft.lbs.
(55.0 Nm)
2x4WheelNutTorque: 27ft.lbs.
(36 Nm)
4. Install a new cotter pin. Tighten nut slightly if
necessary to align cotter pin holes.
5. Bend both ends of cotter pin around end of
spindle in different directions.
6. Install hub cap.
7. Rotate hub. It should rotate smoothly without
binding or rough spots or side play.
8. Install brake caliper , bolts, flat washers and lock
washers. Tighten bolts to specified torque.
18 ft.lbs.
(25 Nm)
Caliper Mounting Bolt Torque
18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
9. Install wheel and wheelnutsandtightenevenly in
a crossing pattern to specified torque.
Flange Nuts:
Flat side against wheel
2x4WheelNutTorque: 27ft.lbs.
(37 Nm)
