4.5.2 VIBCODE sensor for measurement location detection
The actual measurement takes place at a different, usually permanently installed meas-
urement location using a different vibration sensor. This measurement location can be ac-
cessed directly or via a cable interface at the location of VIBCODE detection.
Prerequisite
o
The respective measurement location is configured in the OMNITREND Center soft-
ware with a permanently installed sensor (e.g., VIB 6.122 R).
Procedure
Open the route.
Connect the VIBCODE sensor to the device and the VIBCODE measurement loc-
ation. The measuring program reads the code of the measurement location.
However, it does not start the measurement automatically.
Disconnect the VIBCODE from the device.
Connect the vibration sensor to the device and the measurement location.
Start the measurement using the ENTER key.
4.5.3 Non-contact detection or measurement locations (RFID)
Measurement locations that are equipped with a PRÜFTECHNIK transponder, are de-
tected automatically by VIBSCANNER 2, as soon as the RFID reader is held into the re-
ception range of the transponder.
The transponder code must first be taught to VIBSCANNER 2. Teach-in can be performed
before or during a route (see next section).
Note
In practice, the RFID method is used for identifying the machine train. For this
purpose, the first measurement location on the machine train is equipped with a
RFID transponder. Then, the individual measurement locations on the machine
train are processed as usual using the graphical route guidance.
PRÜFTECHNIK transponders are available as accessories (25 pcs, art. no.:
ALI50.628-25).
Prerequisite
o
The measurement locations are equipped with PRÜFTECHNIK transponders.
o
Transponder code has already been taught.
