4.3.2 Performing the measurement
The point of origin for a measurement is the machine image view (" 1: Machine image"
on page 36).
Note
Prior to a measurement, check which sensor is planned for the measurement as
needed. This information can be found in the [Measurement location in-
formation] menu (" 3: Measurement location info" on page 37).
Vibration measurement
The procedure described below describes a vibration measurement using a mobile vi-
bration sensor. Data acquisition with other measurement tasks and/or sensor types is de-
scribed in the next sections.
Procedure
Connect the sensor to the measuring device.
WARNING!
Severe injuries due to drawing in of the sensor cable possible during meas-
urements on a running machine.
Use the safety release cable as predetermined breaking point between
measuring device and sensor cable ("Analog IN" on page 20.
Connect the sensor to the measurement location. Position and axis can be found
in the machine image.
Tap on the measurement location icon or press the Enter key to start the meas-
urement.
