5.2 Upkeep and maintenance
VIBSCANNER 2 is a precision instrument and should be handled with greatest care.
5.2.1 Storage
If the VIBSCANNER 2 is not used for an extended period of time, store the measuring
device in the case. Connect it regularly to the power supply to avoid complete discharge
of the rechargeable battery.
Make sure that the following conditions are met at the storage location:
o
Dry, air humidity < 90 %.
o
No strong electromagnetic fields present.
o
Temperature range: -20°C ... + 60°C [-4 °F ... +140°F ].
5.2.2 Cleaning
In the case of minor contaminations, you can wipe off the housing with a wet cloth. Re-
move persistent contaminations using a commercially available mild cleaning agent.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display.
ATTENTION!
Using non-suitable cleaning agents can lead to damage to the device.
Thinners, spirit, isopropyl alcohol, or aggressive cleaning agents (power cleaners)
are not suited for cleaning!
5.2.3 Warranty
There is 2 years of warranty for the measuring device. Any warranty claims become invalid
if unauthorized service is performed on the measuring device.
The transport case comes with lifetime warranty.
5.2.4 Spare parts, accessories
Only original spare parts and accessories may be used. Information can be found in the
product catalog, which can be requested free of charge from PRÜFTECHNIK.
5.2.5 Checking the measuring accuracy
To ensure a high measuring accuracy, it should be checked every two years. The date of
the next check is indicated on the sticker next to the charge socket. Send the measuring
device to your PRÜFTECHNIK representative for the check. Transfer the measurement
