The fast Fourier transform (FFT) of the measured trace data is based on the following
parameters:
Window function
Set by SENSe<Sensor>:TRACe:FFT:WINDow.
Number of values used
The number of required values per trace sequence is set by SENSe<Sensor>:
TRACe:POINts. For computing the FFT, the closest power of two below this num-
ber is used, 2
N
. For example, if the set number is 300, then 256 values are used in
the FFT, 2
8
.
Number of values returned
The number of computed values is half the number of used values.
Distance of the spectral lines in Hz
Equals the reciprocal of the trace length, which is set by SENSe<Sensor>:
TRACe:TIME.
Note: The spectrum computed as described is the spectrum of the envelope power,
different from the results displayed by a spectrum analyzer. For questions on details,
contact our support team.
