MeasuringdepthanddistancewithVRM
YoucanuseaVariableRangeMarker(VRM)todeterminean
object’sdepthanddistancebehindyourvessel.Thesemarkers
consistofahorizontal(depth)lineandavertical(distance)line,
eachofwhicharemarkedwiththeappropriatemeasurementand
arecontrolledindividually.
Fromthemainshnderscreen:
1.PressthePRESENTATIONsoftkey.
2.PresstheSCROLLsoftkeytopausethedisplay.Thismaymake
iteasiertopositiontheVRMoverthedesiredobject.
3.PresstheVRMsoftkeytoopentheVRMtoolbar.
4.PresstheVRMsoftkeyagainuntiltheONisselected.
5.Measurethedepthordistance:
•PresstheVRMRANGEsoftkeytomeasuredistance,or
•PresstheVRMDEPTHsoftkeytomeasuredepth.
6.Usetherotarycontroltomeasurethedistanceordepthtoyour
target.
7.PresstheOKbuttontosavetheposition.
Note:TheVRMsusedintheshnderapplicationareunrelated
totheVRMsusedintheradarapplication.
