4.6.3.4.3 Setup Menu 3 Settings - 4 Unit Configuration - 3 Options
In this menu, the additional software options requiring a license can be enabled for use on
this verification unit by means of a purchased unlock key. The list in the image above
shows all of the already enabled software options.
To obtain the corresponding unlocking key, please contact your supplier.
Operation of the REA ScanCheck 3n together with the PC evaluation software REA TransWin 32
requires activation with a license code, for example. Without activation, the respective unit cannot be
recognized, addressed or used by the PC software.
4.6.3.4.4 Setup Menu 3 Settings - 4 Unit Configuration - 4 Date and Time
The values for the internal system clock in the REA ScanCheck 3n can be inspected and corrected in
this menu window.
Incorrect data can lead to incorrect information in the evaluations. The system clock information is
included in every measurement report.
The date information from the internal clock is used for expanded verification of data
structures, e.g. in GS1-128 Code, for verification of information such as expiration date, for
example.
The information for the permissible time periods from the corresponding data field from the GS1-128
Code is thus compared to the current system time and evaluated.
