reception.
Use a lower setting if high speeds pose problems
during reception.
If a modem rate 14.4 kbps or slower is selected, V.8
protocol should be disabled manually.

the machine in receive mode.
If V.34 is not selected, V.8 protocol must be
disabled manually.
