SYMPTOM
Background is stained or is spotted with toner when continuously printing low coverage
and low P/J jobs.
CAUSE
Developer deterioration; developer mixture in the development unit cannot be refreshed
because the machine continues to run low coverage (approximately lower than 3%) and
low P/J jobs.
SOLUTION
1. Clean the ITB cleaning unit, guide plates of the PTR unit, and development unit.
2. Confirm proper attachment of the development entrance seal (p/n: D0743330) and the
side seals (p/n: D0743343, D0743344). If any of the seals are peeled off, replace with
new seals. See RTB #RD074063 for how to replace the seals.
