7 Disassembly and disposal
7.1 Safety information for disassembly and disposal
WARNING!
Risk of injury in the event of improper disas-
sembly!
Sharp-edged components, tips and corners on the
lifting column or the required tools can cause injuries.
– Ensure that there is sufficient space before starting
work.
– Handle exposed components with sharp edges
carefully.
– Ensure that the work area is clean and tidy at all
times! Components and tools lying around or on
top of one another are sources of accidents.
– Disassemble components properly. Observe the
components’ sometimes high net weight. If neces-
sary, use lifting gear.
– Secure components so that they do not fall down
or topple over.
– Consult with the manufacturer in the event of
uncertainties.
7.2 Disassembly
Before starting disassembly:
n Physically disconnect the lifting column from the electrical
power supply.
n Dispose of operating materials in an environmentally friendly
manner.
Then clean the modules and components properly and disas-
semble them, adhering to the applicable local occupational health
and safety and environmental protection regulations.
7.3 Disposal
