Logging on to the Glucose app
If your instrument is switched off you must turn it on and
log on in order to use it.
After turning on your instrument, depending on your
instrument’s configuration, there are 3 options:
1. You must always log on.
2. You need only log on to perform a QC test.
3. You do not need to log on.
For options 1 and 2, depending on your instrument’s
configuration, you log on using one of the following
methods:
RFID tag
Barcode scan
Keyboard entry
All options and logon methods are explained in this task.
u To log on to the Glucose app using an RFID tag (99)
u To log on to the Glucose app using a barcode (100)
u To log on to the Glucose app using the keyboard
(102)
u No logon required (103)

m You have a valid user ID
r To log on to the Glucose app using
an RFID tag

Log on
1 Remove the instrument from the charging station and
do one of the following:
In the Glucose screen, tap the Log on button.
If the app library is displayed, tap the Glucose
app and then in the Glucose screen, tap the Log
on button.
f The User logon screen is displayed.
