Function
Power supply
PCD2.W525s must have an external power supply. This power supply is electrically
isolated from both the PCD and the inputs/outputs of the W525. The design also
allows the use of the same power supply for the PCD and the W525 without losing
the galvanic separation. The diagram below shows the various areas of separation:
Timing
Inputs
Internally, the W525 captures a new value for each input channel every
2 ms
This value can be read by the PCD at any time.
Depending on the speed of the PCD, the transmission time for each
individualvaluescaledto16bit(forasingleinputchannel)isnormally
100μs.
Outputs
Internally, the W525 outputs the last output value received from the
PCD with a maximum delay of 2 ms.
Depending on the speed of the PCD, the transmission time for each
individualoutputvaluescaledto16bitisnormally100μs.
