1. Select the required SFP media module in the slot of
the device. (Example: X-308-2M, slot 2)
2. Insert the SFP with the clip closed in the SFP media
module.
Notice: Closing the clip after insertion does not lock
the device in the rack.
3. The SFP can be heard to lock in place and is there‐
fore firmly secured.
4. Plug the connecting cable into the SFP.
The connecting cable can be heard to lock in place
and is then firmly secured.
Removing an SFP
1. Remove the cable connected to the SFP.
2. Open the clip on the SFP and remove the SFP from the SFP media module.
Notice: It must be possible to remove the SFP easy without using force.
3. Fit a blind plug to the SFP.
