1.8.1.1 PDM: SIMOCODE DPV1 basic type selection
• Open STEP 7 HW Con󹪝g. From the Hardware Catalog, Pro󹪝le standard, navigate to PROFIBUS
DP -> Switching Devices → Simocode DPV1 (PDM). Place this device on the PROFIBUS
network.
Note
Here DPV1 corresponds to the SIMOCODE DP device parameter Operating Mode DPV1.
• Assign the PROFIBUS-DP address. Select device slot 1 and con󹪝gure it as DPV1: Basic Type2
