Boom Section 5 – Procedures
7. Remove the master cylinder rod end pin. Lay
the end of the cylinder down to rest on the cross
tube. Retract the cylinder rod so it is out of the
way.

8. Remove the hoses going to the manifold block
on the base end of the extension cylinder. Cap
the hose ends.
9. Remove the 90° port fittings on the
manifold block. Install port plugs to prevent
contamination.

10. Remove the extension cylinder base-end pin
and spacers.

11. Place a lifting strap through the cross tubes
of the upper pivot onto the base end of the
cylinder.
12. Using suitable lifting equipment, begin pulling
the cylinder out of the boom section. Guide it so
it can pass through the cross tubes and past the
hose bundle on the upper pivot.
