17.17.3 CMV soak test Part 3 of 3
Set the ventilator to CMV mode
Set BPM to 100
PIP to 50
PEEP to 10
Insp Time to 0.35 sec.

Run for a minimum of 25 hours.
After 25 hours of CMV soak,
Check the PIP pressure is unchanged.
Acceptable tolerance: ±1mbar.
Check the PEEP is unchanged
Acceptable tolerance: ±1mbar.
17.18 Battery Charge Verification
Check that the battery has fully charged by checking the battery connector
voltage is at least 13.7V when the unit is powered from the mains.
Acceptable tolerance: >13.7V
Check list Item 15.
Warning: Re-charge the ventilator batteries for a minimum of 24 hours after
this test.
17.19 Total Power Fail Alarm Test
Turn the ventilator OFF (depress the mains switch for 2 seconds. A continuous
loud alarm should sound. Press the power mains power switch again to cancel.
