Example of display and operation4-2-3. ANALOG DT CHECK Mode (C04)
The C04 : ANALOG DT CHECK mode is used to check
the analog DT system. The underlined menu in the menu
tree below is described next.

C060 : SG LOOP CHECK
This menu checks the feedback loop of the strain gauge for
analog Betacam playback.
To execute the check
(1) Prepare a cassette tape for Betacam or Betacam SP.

The recording content does not matter because this
cassette tape is used to enter an analog Betacam
playback mode.
(2) Insert the cassette tape into this unit.
(3) Press the SET button to initiate the automatic check.
. During the automatic check, a message “CHECK-
ING......” will be displayed on the superimposed
display.
(4) Check the result of checking.
. On completing the automatic check, a message
“CHECK COMPLETE” will be displayed.
. If the automatic check fails, a message “# CHECK
INCOMPLETE #” is displayed. In this case, refer to
“When failing the automatic check” on the right.
(5) To exit the menu, press the MENU button once.
. The cassette tape will automatically be ejected in
exiting the menu.
When failing the automatic check
If the message “# CHECK INCOMPLETE #” is displayed
during the automatic check, perform the following check.
(1) Check the bimorph driving circuit on the DT-34D
board.
(2) Check the bimorph driving circuit on the SS-83 board.
(3) Check the signal transmission system (slip ring etc.).
