A0 : SERVO / DT ADJUST
A00-01 : SERVO ADJUST (Describes in Section 4-2-7.)
A02 : ANALOG DT ADJUST

A030 : HEAD OFFSET LEVEL
This menu is used to adjust the offset levels of DT heads
for analog Betacam playback. Only the automatic adjust-
ment is described below.

. It is necessary to perform this adjustment in both 525/60
and 625/50 systems.
. It is required the following alignment tape located in the
beginning of color-bar portion in advance.
To execute the adjustment
(1) Prepare the following alignment tape located in the
beginning of the color-bar portion.
In 525/60 system: CR5-1B (TC 00:00:14:00) or
CR5-2A (TC 00:00:00:00)
In 625/50 system: CR5-1B PS (TC 00:00:14:00) or
CR5-2A PS (TC 00:00:00)
(2) Insert the cassette tape into this unit.
(3) Check to see that an * mark is assigned to “Start auto
adjust” on the superimposed display.
. If the * mark is not assigned to “Start auto adjust”,
turn the search dial to set the mark to “Start auto
adjust”.
(4) Press the SET button once.
. On pressing it, a message “Push PLAY button” will
be displayed on the superimposed display.
(5) Press the PLAY button to initiate the automatic
adjustment in the PLAY mode.
. During the automatic adjustment, a message
“ADJUSTING......” will be displayed.
(6) Check the result of checking.
. On completing the automatic adjustment, a message
“ADJUST COMPLETE” will be displayed.
. If the automatic adjustment fails, a message “#
ADJUST INCOMPLETE #” is displayed. In this
case, refer to “When failing the automatic adjust-
ment” on the next page.
(7) To exit the menu, press the MENU button once.
(8) To save the adjustment data into the NV-RAM of a
DT system, execute the SAVE ANALOG DT DATA
in A032 : DATA SAVE menu.

The alignment tape will automatically be ejected in
returning to the A0 : SERVO/DT ADJUST mode picture.

The A02: ANALOG DT ADJUST mode is used to adjust
the DT system. Three menus are available.
