PERATIONS MANUAL
Calculations
Although showing waveforms and measurements can provide critical
information to the clinician, adequate assessment and diagnosis
sometimes requires a broader view. The monitor can combine
individual patient parameters into equations, to produce values that
can be used for a broader assessment of systemic function. The
Calculations feature is a purchased option.
Types of Calculations
Calculations can be divided into two types:
Physiologic calculations: Includes hemodynamic and oxygenation. These
calculations use input values entered manually, or collected automatically by
the system, to produce a set of output values. Refer to Hemodynamic
Calculations on page 10-4 and Oxygenation Calculations on page 10-6 for more
information.
Drug calculations: Lets you determine infusion rates for drugs, based on drug
amounts, desired dose, and patient weight. Refer to
Drug Calculator on
page 10-7 for more details.
Calculations Window
The Calculations window shows a set of inputs, either entered by the system or
manually, and a set of calculated output values.
You can do the following tasks from this window:
Add a new column to the table.
Delete a column from the table.
Edit entries in the input section of the table.
Print the calculations.
Notes:
The Calculations window cannot be resized or repositioned.
