Data Shuttle
Data Shuttle® is an option that you can use to transfer patient demographic data
(such as age, sex, name, and BSA) and vital signs data from one monitor to another.
Data Transfer
Before you shuttle data from one monitor to another, you must first transfer the
data from the source monitor into a Command module and then proceed with the
transfer. Parameter information acquired between the time you transfer data and
the time you remove the module is lost. The monitor indicates this lost information
as a gap in the trends of the parameters involved when you retrieve the data. If time
elapses between data transfer into the module and module removal, you may wish
to update the transferred data before you remove the module. To update this data,
touch UPDATE TRANSFER. If the module stays out of the monitor for 10 or more
minutes, all data is lost.
Data Retrieval
When you insert the module into the destination monitor, the monitor sounds a
low priority alarm tone until you either cancel the data transfer or retrieve the data.
The monitor also shows the patient name associated with the data to be transferred
and, if applicable, the patient name associated with the data that currently resides
in the destination monitor.
To transfer patient data from a monitor to the Command
module
1 Touch the ECG parameter key.
2 Touch the SET-UP button.
3 Touch TRANSFER DATA.
The message TRANSFERRING PATIENT DATA INTO MODULE shows. After
the data is completely transferred, the monitor sounds a tone and the
message DATA TRANSFER COMPLETED shows.
4 If there is a delay in completing the data transfer, update the transfer data
just before you remove the module from the monitor.
5 Remove the module from the monitor. Following removal of the module, the
patient will be automatically discharged and all patient data cleared.
To update transferred data before you remove module
1 From the ECG waveform zone, touch UPDATE TRANSFER.
The message TRANSFERRING PATIENT DATA INTO MODULE shows. After
the data is completely transferred, the monitor sounds a tone and the
message DATA TRANSFER COMPLETED shows.
2 Remove the module from the monitor.
