To access the Drug Calculator from the Calculations
Window
1 From the Calculations window’s taskbar, touch the Calculator icon.
The Drug Calculator window shows. Refer to Figure 10-2 on page 10-8.
To enter values for drug calculation
1 In the Drug Calculator window, set the drug amount and units, drug volume,
drug dose units, and patient weight with the onscreen keypad or drop-down
list.
2 (Optional) Enter values for Rate or Dose.
The calculator keeps the rate unchanged and adjusts dose unless you enter
new values. Changing rate recalculates the new rate; changing dose adjusts
the rate.
3 If you enter a new dose, select a unit of measurement. For more information,
refer to Rate and Dose Values on page 10-8.
4 Touch Enter on the onscreen pad.
