vehicle radio is currently receiving and
subsequently enters an area where the
same radio station is available on a
different frequency, the radio automatically
searches that frequency. Briefly press the
“RDS/LOC” button to change the ON or
OFF mode of the alternative frequency
(AF) s earching function. The defaul t
setting is ON.
! Traffic information (T.I.)
When a radio station begins broadcasting
traffic information, this function causes the
audio set to automatically receive it so that
the driver can hear it. If the driver is
listening to another audio source, the
audio set interrupts that playback with
the traffic information.
The “Traffic Info” (for traffic information)
illuminates on the display while the audio
set is actually receiving traffic information.
It is possible to turn the automatically
receiving function ON/OFF by pressing
the “T.I/NEWS” button briefly. The default
setting is OFF.
NOTE
The automatically receiving function is
not available for traffic information on
AM radio broadcasts.
! News bulletins
When a radio station begins broadcasting
news bulletins, this function causes the
audio set to automatically receive it so that
the driver can hear it. If the driver is
listening to another audio source, the
audio set interrupts that playback with
the news bulletins.
It is possible to turn the automatically
receiving function ON/OFF by pressing
the “T.I/NEWS” button for more than 0.5
second. The default setting is OFF.
NOTE
The automatically receiving function is
not available for news bulletins on AM
radio broadcasts.
! Emergency announcements
(ALARM)
When a radio station begins broadcasting
an emergency announcement, the audio
set automatically receives it so that the
driver can hear it. If the driver is listening
to another audio source, the audio set
interrupts that playback with the emer-
gency announcement. This function is
permanently ON.
NOTE
The automatically receiving function is
not available for emergency announce-
ments on AM radio broadcasts.
