Interface
Clicking the INTERFACE tab brings up the OSPF INTERFACE CONFIGURATION page
(Figure 5-116). The parameters for this page are shown in Table 5-97.
Send Summary
Router
This field is used to control the import of summary LSAs to stub areas. This does
not have any impact for other areas.
Metric
This parameter specifies the metric/cost associated with the routes. The allowed
value ranges between 0 to 16777215. The default value is 10.

Parameter Description
Interface This parameter specifies the interface index of the port.
Area ID
This parameter indicates the 32-bit integer uniquely identifying the area to which
the interface connects.
Priority
This parameter specifies the priority of this interface, which is used in the DR
election algorithm. The allowed value ranges between 0 and 255. The default
value is 1.
Authentication Type
This parameter allows you to choose MD5, Simple Password or None as the
authentication type.
