GEARSHIFT SYSTEM
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM DISASSEMBLY
• Remove the following parts from the gearshift shaft/gearshift
arm.
1 Washer 4 Gearshift cam drive plate
2 Snap ring 5 Plate return spring
3 Gearshift shaft return spring
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM INSPECTION
• Inspect the gearshift shaft/gearshift arm for wear or bend.
• Inspect the return springs for damage or fatigue.
• Replace the arm or spring if there is anything unusual.
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM REASSEMBLY
• Install the following parts to the gearshift shaft/gearshift arm
as shown in the illustration.
1 Washer 4 Gearshift cam drive plate
2 Snap ring 5 Plate return spring
3 Gearshift shaft return spring
NOTE:
When installing the gearshift shaft return spring, position the
stopper A of gearshift arm between the shaft return spring ends
